Applications of Toggle SELEX

Clinical Drug Development Structural Domain-Specific Apatmer
Since clinical drug development often applies human proteins as targets, but animal models are used for activity assays and preclinical experiments, this aptamer, which is active against both human and animal targets, facilitates preclinical evaluation of drug molecules on animal models. For a protein, a conserved structural domain of the species is often required for the protein to function. Toggle SELEX to obtain apatmer specific to this structural domain can improve the functional activity of aptamer.
Aptamer Screening of Receptor Family proteins Aptamer Screening for Homogeneous Molecules
Toggle SELEX is also suitable for screening receptor family proteins, ligand family proteins or structure-related protein targets with redundant or overlapping functions within the same species. Toggle SELEX can also be applied to aptamer screening of similar small molecule targets, screening with molecules containing the same functional group and those without functional groups as targets.

Applications of Toggle SELEX in Drug Aptamer Screening

Researchers have screened a mixture of human and porcine thrombin by toggle SELEX application random RNA library, and then aptamer was obtained that specifically bound to both human and porcine thrombin. Researchers used gentamicin and apomycin, kanamycin and tobramycin, balomycin and neomycin, and streptomycin and dihydrostreptomycin in four groups. The RNA nucleic acid aptamers recognizing the aminoglycoside antibiotics were obtained by switching screening using four groups of aminoglycoside antibiotics.
